Nature lover. Hiking, biking, fishing, diving. These are just a few outdoor activities that Budy adores. His subdued appearance notwithstanding, Budy is a witty and engaging conversationalist. Pick any topic, and you can go at it deep and broad with Budy. He can talk for hours about bicycles. If you visit his house, you’ll see the one he assembled himself, which he loves to ride when he’s not working. Or ask him about his most recent wreck diving experience at Tulamben, and you’ll come out very well informed.
Budy also loves to share his exciting mountain climbing experiences with any willing ears. He has climbed Mount Semeru, that has been famously known as Indonesia’s highest volcano, Mount Bromo in East Java, Mount Ceremai and Gede in West Java, Mount Batur in Bali, and the list continues to grow. In short Budy is a thrill seeker, always looking for the next challenging adrenaline-filled adventure.
Budy began his relationship with photography in elementary school, playing with his dad’s camera. In high school his interest grew when he received his very own (pocket) camera. He graduated to an SLR camera once he became a university student. During his free time, Budy took pictures of events, such as newborn babies, company gatherings, outbound outings, fashion weeks, and whatever he could get his hands on.
After he graduated from the university, Budy took a regular office job during weekdays and since 2014 moonlighting as a photographer assistant at a photo studio in his hometown. Through a series of serendipitous events, Budy met and became acquainted with Govinda. Shortly after, Budy moved to Bali to join Terralogical, where he resides happily ever after.
